Dynargh, Mawgan Porth

In 2018 Situ8 was approached by a London and Cornwall based architectural firm to assist with an application for a contemporary replacement dwelling in Mawgan Porth.   

The existing bungalow was proposed to be replaced with a home and integrated annexe set over three floors, with an increased footprint to the previous bungalow. Despite concerns relating to the bulk and size from the Parish Council, the Officer considered the a scheme to be acceptable, with consideration to the basement floor (housing a shower room, jacuzzi and cinema room) being set into the sloping land, and the upper level ‘pods’ allowing gaps to provide connectivity and views from the lane to the rear.  

It has been really rewarding to be involved with this exciting scheme and to see the development evolve, with the construction of the dwelling nearing completion.
