We have done it again!
Situ8 are excited to reveal that once again we have been shortlisted in the RTPI’s Awards for Planning Excellence 2019. This time our fantastic team have been shortlisted in the category ‘Excellence in Planning for Homes – Small Schemes (up to 50 homes)’ with our Gilbury Phase 2 Development in Lostwithiel.
Gilbury Hill ‘Phase 2’ is a development of 26 houses of mixed tenure, using a community-led approach in designing homes for local people.
On the development’s success:
“Situ8 are proud of its achievements in overcoming policy and design hurdles which posed a threat to its success. We now have almost full residency and both the affordable and over half of the open market houses are lived in by local people from Lostwithiel. Situ8 are rolling out this planning approach across Cornwall and using this scheme as a flagship project to demonstrate to other communities a more inclusive way of approaching housing development”.
